About the Summit
On Thursday 8 October, the 3rd edition of the Sustainable Finance Summit returns to Paris, hosted by Accuracy. Building on 2024’s focus on entering a new era and 2025’s case for optimism, the 2026 summit will convene leading policymakers, investors, and corporate executives to explore how geopolitical realignments and the rise of Middle Powers are reshaping sustainable finance priorities.
This half‑day conference will examine the rise of Middle Powers and their accelerating role in climate strategy, energy transition, and financial resilience. Through high‑level discussions and sector‑crossing perspectives, the Summit will provide a forward‑looking view of the new equilibrium between sustainability imperatives and global power dynamics.
Sustainable Finance Summit 2026 will be by invite-only, with attendance offered through a register of interest process.
Agenda
Panel 1: Geopolitics Reshaping Sustainable Finance: A Fragmented Global Reality
This opening panel examines how climate pressures, U.S. retrenchment, European stagnation, and the rise of strategic Middle Eastern investment are reshaping the global architecture of sustainable finance. It highlights how geopolitical dynamics increasingly dictate investment strategies, driving regional fragmentation and divergent sustainability pathways.
Panel 2: Middle Powers and Sovereignty: Redefining Influence Through Energy, Defence and Technology
This panel examines how established Middle Powers strengthen their sovereignty by leveraging strategic sectors, and what Europe can do to differentiate itself in this evolving landscape. It explores how investors play a decisive role in protecting national and regional autonomy by managing geopolitical risks across the example of energy, defence or digital technologies.
Panel 3: The New Geography of Transition Capital — How China and Middle Powers Are Rewiring Sustainable Finance
How China and Middle Powers Are Rewiring Sustainable Finance Bringing together perspectives from global banking, institutional investment and innovation, this session will examine how China and emerging Middle Powers are changing the flow of capital into decarbonisation. The discussion will focus on the practical mechanisms required to finance heavy-industry transition, mobilise institutional capital, scale locally developed technologies and build investable cross-border partnerships.
