Virtual meeting (register here)

Our latest virtual Ethical Finance Round Table will take place on 26 August at 14:00 (BST). Entitled ‘Impact Investing – Can it Save Capitalism?’, it will consider the role of impact investing as we shift from ‘shareholder capitalism’ towards ‘stakeholder capitalism’.

Amy Clarke, Chief Impact Officer of Tribe Impact Capital, Tan Sri Dato’ Azman Mokhtar, former Managing Director of Malaysia’s Khazanah Nasional, and Dean Hand, Director of Research at the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) will join us to share their views on the role the $502 billion global impact investing market can play in solving many of the world’s greatest problems as we transition to a new economic paradigm.

Impact investing is an exciting and rapidly growing industry powered by 1,300+ investors (such as asset managers, foundations, banks, development finance institutions, family offices, pension funds and insurance companies) who are determined to generate social and environmental impact as well as financial returns. This is taking place all over the world, and across all asset classes.

During the sesssion, Dean will frame the sector and highlight key issues. Amy will reflect on the current trends in impact investing highlighting challenges around investor appetite, measurement and greenwashing. Azman will then share the lessons he learned from combining investment returns, strategic returns, and societal returns as part of the “Building True Value” initiative he led Malaysia. All the speakers will also outline their vision of an enlightened post-pandemic economy where the rules are reworked with impact investors playing a critical role.

The event will take place via Zoom and to register for FREE, please click this LINK.

This event forms part of our Path to COP26 campaign.
