ESG in a Volatile World: Profit, Purpose or Politics?

About the Summit
Now in its seventh year, Ethical Finance Global 2022 is the premier Edinburgh summit driving finance for positive change.
After being held virtually in 2020 and 2021, our flagship summit returns as an in-person event in 2022, taking place in Edinburgh on Tuesday 6 September, hosted by NatWest Group at their Edinburgh Gogarburn HQ.
We will hear from experts on sustainable and responsible finance around the world on the theme of “ESG in a Volatile World – Profit, Purpose or Politics?”
Alongside the summit the SDG Hive, a series of workshops, power roundtables and hackathons, will be held with industry experts and global leaders on the Monday 5th and Wednesday 7th September 2022 at the RBS Business School on the Gogarburn campus (see further below).

Feedback
A selection of the unsolicited feedback we received from speakers and participants after our last in-person summit, in 2019
“Let me congratulate you on a spectacularly successful conference. I loved it, really meaningful discussions, really very interesting. Congratulations also to the speakers for their insights and eloquence. Excellent event!”
CEO, Global Data Provider
“What is ‘unique’ about GEFI is your holistic/systemic approach to the issues and your truly impressive convening power across the full range of stakeholders – the audience and the speakers.”
Managing Director, Global Bank
“It was a consistently superb event - it certainly gave me a good boost of confidence in the future, even if part of that might mean having to move to Scotland!”
Special Advisor, European Bank
“I've been to many conferences in my career, some were good, some were bad, and some were 'meh'. 'Ethical Finance 2019' in Edinburgh was excellent. It's easy to get jaded about attending events, but when they are put together so thoughtfully, with a range of excellent speakers and moderators, and where the only things that are pitched to you are ideas, considered views and best practice examples, it really is a breath of fresh air.”
Managing Director, Global Data Provider
“I really enjoyed the sessions and speakers. Lots of ideas and challenges for how you turn good ideas and aspirations into practical actions.”
Head of Executive Development, UK Academic Institution
“Thank you so much for 3 inspiring days. Superb job on organising such professional and focussed events which I am sure will lead to many concrete and exciting collaborations.”
Associate Director, Global Climate Think Tank
“I wanted to say congratulations for a fantastic few days. The interest, the buzz, the thoughtfulness was palpable.”
Leading Global Banker
“I really enjoyed myself, learnt something new and met new interesting people which in combination is always a sign of a fantastic event.”
Managing Director, Global Advisory
“I wish to thank you and congratulate you once again for an incredible event! I have attended many in diverse fields but this one has been excellent and spotless! Thank you for such an amazing experience.”
Lecturer, Spanish Academic Institution
“The event had energy, humour and purpose.”
